Abstract

Narrative in Nahuatl collected by Alejandro de Ávila Blomberg entitled Recuerdos del Tejido del Algodón en Huazalinguillo, Hidalgo Remembrances of Cotton Weaving in Huazalínguillo, Hidalgo. The text and its Spanish translation were dictated by Antonia Osorio de Valle, native speaker from Huazalinguillo (municipality of Huautla, State of Hidalgo, Mexico). Recalling her mother at work, the informant describes the ginning, beating, spinning, warping, and weaving of cotton on the backstrap loom.
