La expresión del dolor: un sentimiento prescrito (Quint., Inst. Or., VI. pr., y Stat., Silv., V.V.)

Abstract

In light of the Greek and Latin literary forms used to mourn and memorialize the dead, as well as the rhetorical prescriptions concerning the expression of emotions, this paper attempts an approach to two compositions of this sort: the proem of book 6 of Quintilian’s Institutio Oratoria, and the concluding poem of Statius’ Silvae.
