Las copias sobrevivientes del Rabinal Achí

Abstract

This essay offers a summary view of the finding of the Rabinal Achí by Brasseur in 1855, and concludes that the abbe gothis copy under Siss direct dictation. Neither then nor after existed copy what so ever of the Quiche ritual drama in the Siss hands. Brasseur published his transcript in 1862 and, as a gift to his servant Nicolas Lopez, sent that book to Rabinal town. Lost already page 27 of the French traslation, and page 28 of the Quiche text, such mutilated copy has been the model and source of every transcriptthere is among the actual Rabinal Indians.
