Resumen : Since ancient times, poetry has been the literary genre par excellence for Arabs. Before Islam, a poetic festival was held annually in Mecca. It was called Suq Uqaz. The poets competed there. The winning poem had as an award to be hung in the Kaaba. Until now the Hanging Poems are studied, considered as the best that has been written in Arabic. The phenomenon of Poetry of Resistance is the favorite of the reading majority. This phenomenon had great exponents, among which Mahmud Darwish, Samih Al Qasem, Tawfiq Zayyad and Rashed Husein, who were part of the Palestinian people who stayed in their Palestinian land to be occupied by the Zionist movement that established the State of Israel in 1948
