Impacto de la globalización en los mayas yucatecos

Abstract

In this article the autor shows changes in the society and culture on the Maya of Yucatán in a general way. Support the idea that globalization is an old process in Yucatan and that the international and market forces of the last two decades are only a new stage on that process: he also thinks that the main problems of the Maya are the proverty and the new meaning of the culture called modernization.
